Frame corner with tubular beams
A stiff moment frame corner with connected tubular beams. The frame column and beam consist of I-sections HEM600 with added stiffeners. The continuous tubular beams of CHS 323.9/45 are welded to the frame corner web by fillet welds. Another bracing beam of CHS 305/16 is connected via a notched bolted splice to the shaped connecting plate. See more in the webinar recording. Model created in IDEA StatiCa Connection app.
