An offshore platform is a large structure used in the ocean for various purposes, typically related to the extraction of natural resources such as oil, gas, or wind energy. There are several types of offshore platforms, each designed to suit specific water depths, environmental conditions, and operational needs.

The structure is made of tubular CHS sections, the main supporting column is divided into two pieces connected by a circular end plate, while the bracing members are welded to the column. Due to the load scenarios, the column suffers a loss of stability risk.

The structure is analyzed in the IDEA StatiCa Member application.
