IDEA StatiCa is continuously spreading its wings into new regions and countries. Just recently, the British Annex was implemented to support concrete structure design and code-check. Maybe, it is a good time to do some quick overview of supported concrete codes and annexes in IDEA StatiCa Concrete.

With the new IDEA StatiCa version 20, the UK National Annex for concrete structures was added to the family of existing annexes for IDEA StatiCa Concrete. Currently, there are 3 codes and 9 national annexes supported in various IDEA StatiCa Concrete applications.

If your goal is designing and code-checking concrete details, you can choose from two supported major codes - Eurocode (EN) and American code (ACI).

When dealing with cross-sections and beams in our RCS or Beam application, you can rely on results based on either Eurocode or Swiss Standard (SIA).

For these two applications, the Eurocode was complemented by many various local standards for eight European and one Asian country. You can design and code-check your structures according to  Austrian, Belgian, Czech, Dutch, German, Polish, Singapore, Slovak or British national annex.

As mentioned above, the British National Annex has been implemented as the last one in May 2020, as a reaction to the impulse from a lot of our customers. With the UK annex implemented for our Concrete applications, you are now capable of calculating and mainly doing code-checks of building structures according to BS EN 1992-1, bridges according to BS EN 1992- 2, and retaining and containment structures according to BS EN 1992-3. The checks are implemented into the concrete applications Beam, RCS, Column, and BIM.

The missing annex for complete code check of existing and new structures.

All these codes are available for both the Expert and Enhanced version of IDEA StatiCa Concrete and Prestressing.
